Purchase of Own Shares  
  
Pursuant to the general authority given to the Company by shareholders and as 
announced on 1 October 2009, the Company announces that it purchased 30,000 of 
its own ordinary shares for cancellation on 5 October 2009 at a price of 110 
pence per share.  
  
This represents 0.07 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.   
  
Following this purchase, the total number of voting rights in Alternative 
Networks plc is 43,880,621.
