President, Products Group
Scott O’Brien, President of BAE Systems Products Group, recently served as President of Armor Holdings Products Group. He joined the company in 1999 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Safariland, Inc., upon the Armor Holdings acquisition of Safariland, Inc., a premier brand and leading manufacturer of law enforcement equipment and automotive OEM accessories.
Scott’s career with Safariland dates back to 1974. Since that time, he has held progressively responsible positions before being appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in 1993. He served as Vice President of Operations from 1988 until 1993; Vice President of Manufacturing from 1985 until 1988; and Vice President of the Body Armor Division from 1978 until 1985.
Scott is a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO); Chairman Emeritus of the Toyota Motor Sales Supplier Alliance; Member of Dean’s Advisory Board – School of Business and Economics California State University, Fullerton, and Guest Lecture series Speaker – University of Southern California. He received his B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
Scott has two sons, Eric and Tim, a grandson, Jake and a golden retriever. His hobbies include motor sports, working out and collecting sports cars and vintage hot rods. He enjoys physical fitness and spending time with his family.
