Design Support Alliance
BAE SYSTEMS, through Land & Sea, and four other industry partners signed a contract with the MoD’s Warship Support Agency (WSA) in July, to deliver design support to British warships. The contract, valued at £49 million, aims to bring the industry partners together with their various current design contracts to offer an integrated approach to delivering end-to-end design solutions. Together the alliance will provide an integrated design service for alterations and additions to aircraft carriers, destroyers, mine counter-measure vessels and landing platform docks. This will see, for the first time, the WSA and multiple contractors sharing information openly and freely in order to drive down costs. Back to Top
