NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL 
RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS  
  
Compass Group PLC (the "Company") has today received notification that Didier 
Coutte, a PDMRwho is responsible for the Group's French, Japanese and 
Australasian businesses,  ceased to be interested in 30,466 shares in the 
Company held by a family trust in which he has a beneficial interest with effect 
from 23 September 2009.    
  
Following this transaction, Mr Coutte retains a total beneficial interest in 
779,111 Shares. His holding represents 0.042% of the total issued share capital 
of the Company.
