Hardide plc has today been informed by the Dresdner Kleinwort Group Limited that 
following a purchase by Allianz Cornhill Insurance plc ("Cornhill") of 1,425,000 
ordinary shares, Allianz AG and subsidiaries together with Cornhill are now 
interested in 6,589,332 shares of Hardide plc, representing 4.49 per cent. of 
the Company's issued share capital. 
 
 
Allianz AG is the ultimate holding company of Cornhill.
