Directorate Change
Hardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology,
has been informed that, on 9 February 2007, Ellis & Company placed 31,499,725
ordinary shares in Hardide on behalf of Flintstone Management Services Ltd, a
subsidiary of Proventec Plc ("Proventec"). Subsequent to this transaction
Proventec no longer has a shareholding in Hardide.
Following this transaction, David Chestnutt, non-executive Chairman of Hardide
has announced his intention to step down from the Board of the Company, with
effect from 31 March 2007, to focus on other business interests, including his
current position as Chief Executive of Proventec plc. A new non-executive
Chairman will be appointed in due course.
Commenting on the shareholding, Jim Murray-Smith, Chief Executive of Hardide,
said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Proventec and David
Chestnutt for their support to date in bringing Hardide from a concept
technology to a significant competitor in the global surface engineering sector.
