Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman
Hardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Goddard to the Board of Hardide
plc as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 28 January 2008.
A chartered engineer, Mr Goddard was on the executive board of Burmah Castrol
plc and previously managed its worldwide fuels business and a substantial
portion of its chemicals business. He subsequently joined Amberley Group PLC in
November 2000 where he was Chief Executive, responsible for turning round and
selling on its four speciality chemical subsidiaries, thereby enhancing the
share price substantially before leaving in 2002. More recently he has had a
variety of advisory and turnaround assignments. He is also currently chairman
of a group developing a waste-to-energy business using innovative technology.
Robert John Goddard, aged 56, is, or has been within the last five years, a
