The American Air Museum in Britain

The American Air Museum in Britain is co-located at Duxford, a former USAF war-time base. The purpose built building, opened by HM Queen on the 1 August 1997, stands as a memorial to the 30,000 American airmen who gave their lives flying from the United Kingdom during the Second World War.
