T&F Informa plc, a leading provider of high value, specialist information to the 
academic, professional and commercial markets, today issued the following 
update.  This statement is made prior to the Group entering its close period 
ahead of its preliminary results announcement for the 12 months ended 31 
December 2004, scheduled for 10 March 2005. 
 
 
Trading in the second half of 2004 has been in line with the Board's 
expectations.  Consistent with the comments made in the September 2004 interim 
results announcement, the Group continues to make encouraging progress on the 
revenue and cost synergy initiatives flowing from the merger of Taylor & Francis 
and Informa in May 2004. Good momentum in the businesses continues to be 
achieved and the benefits of the merger are expected to become increasingly 
apparent in 2005.
