             Pre-close update for the six months ended 30 June 2005 
 
T&F Informa plc, the international specialist information provider, issued today 
the following update for the six months ended 30 June 2005, prior to entering 
its close period and ahead of its interim results announcement on 22 September 
2005. 
 
The Group continues to trade in line with the Board's expectations. Management 
is focusing on the integration of recently acquired IIR into the Group, which is 
proceeding smoothly, and growth opportunities from its enlarged portfolio of 
conference and training businesses. IIR's results will be incorporated into the 
Group's consolidated financial statements from 6 July 2005. 
 
In addition a circular has today been despatched to shareholders concerning the 
proposal to change the Company's name from T&F Informa plc to Informa plc.  This 
includes a notice convening an EGM for this purpose to be held on 18 August.
