Kentz Group awarded large engineering project in Saudi Arabia  
  
Kentz Group, through its operating unit Kentz Engineering International Limited 
("KEIL") and partner Radicon-Gulf Consult ("RGC"), is delighted to announce that 
it has been awarded a contract worth in excess of Saudi Riyals 100 million 
(US$26 million) for engineering and consultancy services on the development of 
approximately 2,000 hectares (ha) of land to the west of Jubail 2, commonly 
known as Jubail 2 Stage 4. The award was made by the Royal Commission for Jubail 
and Yanbu. The work will commence in early December 2008 and the contract 
duration is three years.  
  
The work to be performed by KEIL and RGC includes the provision of studies and 
assessments for the necessary engineering design of:  
  
 
 * Infrastructure works (civil and structural); 
 * Roads; 
 * Material handling systems; 
 * Mechanical,electrical and telecom systemspower ( high and lowvoltage); 
 * Fuel and feedstock systems.  
  
 
The mandate also includes procurement support and on-site construction support.  
  
Jubail 2 covers an area of 5,500 ha and, with the addition of a further 2,000 
ha, will accommodate major primary and secondary petrochemical industries.  On 
completion, Jubail Industrial City will be one of the largest of its kind in the 
world.
