Melorio is a support services group providing training and assessment across a growing range of industry sectors. Melorio currently employs approximately 500 people, operating from 28 centres across the United Kingdom.
The group has an experienced board and management team and clear quality standards, systems, processes and controls. We have a supportive institutional shareholder base and good banking relationships.
Whilst the government is committed to provide funding for both Train to Gain and Apprenticeships, Melorio is focused on sectors of industry where there is strong demand for training and assessment, and where demand is set to continue across the economic cycle. The identification of economic demand, combined with a strong commitment from the major political parties to the Leitch agenda up-skilling the United Kingdom, puts the group in a strong position to capitalise on opportunities and gives good visibility of earnings.
The Group aims to expand through the organic development and acquisition of quality vocational training providers in sectors which have some of the following characteristics: (a) significant demand from both the employer and the employee for training and assessment; and (b) regulatory, legislative or industry drivers increasing demand for training and qualifications.
Melorio currently operates in three industry vertical markets:
ICT and Business Services
Melorio owns Zenos, which is one of the leading providers of vocational training in the ICT sector. Learners undertaking training programmes consist of school leavers aspiring to enter the ICT industry and those already employed within it. The core programmes are Advanced Apprenticeships and TtG Plus, combined with industry standard vendor qualifications. Zenos has worked with over 200 organisations located across the UK, including many leading multi-national ICT services companies. In the year ended 31 July 2008, Zenos enrolled and trained over 800 school leavers and 300 employed learners on their training programmes. Zenos was founded in 1999.
Construction and Infrastructure
Melorio owns Construction Learning World ("CLW"), the leading provider of on-site assessment and training to the UK construction and infrastructure industry. Melorio also owns HB Training, a long established provider of construction apprenticeships. CLW also provides a range of additional administrative support services for its clients. CLW currently has a client base of more than 1,800 organisations located across the UK, including many of the UK's largest construction and infrastructure companies.
Logistics and Supply Chain
Melorio owns Logistics Learning World ("LLW"), which is a leading provider of training and assessment to the UK logistics and allied industries. LLW provides training and assessment for vocational qualifications to logistics workers. The increasing legislative requirements within the logistics and haulage industries present many new challenges for operators, and LLW is well placed to provide a solution.
