Prudential Caring Fund raises $1.5 million for tsunami victims
The Prudential Caring Fund, set up in January 2005 to help victims of the Asian tsunami, has raised $1.5 million. This was achieved through a combination of staff donations and company matching.
The funds will be channelled into the four hard-hit countries in which Prudential has a presence: Indonesia (the primary recipient), India, Malaysia and Thailand.
Prudential Corporation Asia is currently working with aid agencies to determine how best to allocate these funds, to ensure they have the greatest possible impact. In particular, we are focusing our support on children, who are some of the most vulnerable victims of the tragedy.
