Growth Strategy

The Directors consider that the three areas of potential areas for the growth for the Group are:

Optimising the use of existing facilities - there continues to be strong demand for the Group’s existing facilities. In particular the Directors believe that higher utilisation levels are achievable in TV and Sound Services.

The enhancement of the Studios - significant opportunities exist to grow the business by expanding and improving the facilities at the Studios. In order to do this, the Directors have a ten-year studio enhancement plan to develop the infrastructure and increase the overall facilities at the Pinewood, Shepperton and Teddington Studios. The Directors believe that this will amount to an increase in the Studios of approximately 1,800,000 square feet over ten years. The company will also be submitting a planning application at the end of 2008 in respect of their “Project Pinewood”.

Other opportunities - Pinewood Shepperton will consider opportunities to develop its operations off-site, exporting its reputation and expertise. The Directors expect such opportunities to arise as media content businesses outsource the production side of their businesses. Pinewood Shepperton will also consider acquisitions of other media production related assets where appropriate.
