Deferred Annual Share Bonus Scheme - release of shares  
  
The Company announces that on 3 September 2009, ordinary shares of 1p each in 
the Company were transferred to the following Executive Directors and persons 
discharging managerial responsibility ('PDMR's') by the Paterson Zochonis 
Employee Trust ('the Trust') in relation to deferred awards made under the 
Company's Deferred Annual Share Bonus Scheme ('DASBS') in 2006. In addition the 
Executive Directors and PDMR's sold the number of shares listed below to 
discharge their tax obligations arising from the release of the shares.

The shares have been held in trust for three years and have been released by the 
trustee in accordance with the rules of the Plan.  
  
The Trust is a discretionary trust under which the class of beneficiaries who 
may benefit comprises all bona fide employees and former employees of the 
Company and its subsidiaries including members of such employees' and former 
employees' immediate families. Accordingly, the Executive Directors and PDMRs of 
the Company are included in the class of beneficiaries and are deemed to have an 
interest in all of such shares. Subsequent to the above dealings, the Trust's 
holding in the ordinary shares of 1p in the Company is 1,380,269 shares (0.32%).
