QXL.com moves advertising sales in-house

First campaign: Microsoft XP launch

QXL.com, the UK's online auction site, announces an agreement with L90, the premier marketing, technology, and media company, with the immediate effect of bringing the control and management of revenue generated from third party advertising in-house.

The contract involves L90's proprietary marketing technology, adMonitor, the only ASP-driven ad serving and tracking technology built exclusively for web publishers, which will serve and track all QXL.com third party advertisements.

Craig Carr, Business Development Manager at QXL, commented, "Moving ad sales in-house, with adMonitor, is a tremendous step forward for QXL. It will give us the control and flexibility to target those partners complimentary to our demographic and thereby enhancing our member services. Specifically, we are looking to offer advertisers access to the UK customer base, online promotion, integration with our direct email marketing campaigns and the use of our wireless capabilities."

QXL's first major campaign will be in partnership with Microsoft, promoting the release of the Windows XP operating system throughout the month of October.

"QXL.com is an excellent marketing opportunity for advertisers" said Mike Leo, President of Technology Solutions for L90. "With adMonitor as a partner, QXL.com becomes even stronger due to its ability to serve more integrated ads that allow advertisers to be more creative with their messages."
