QXL signs with Doubleclick's Dartmail

London, 10 December 2001 - QXL ricardo plc (LSE: QXL.L; Nasdaq: QXLC; Frankfurt: QXL.F), the pan-European online auction company, and DoubleClick (NASDAQ:DCLK), the industry's leading digital marketing solutions company, today announce that they have signed an agreement whereby QXL will use DoubleClick's DARTmail email platform, and DART for Publishers (DFP) ad-serving technology.

With millions of email sent each month, QXL will use the DARTmail service to manage its European email volume, including both preference-based customer mailings and partner promotion email campaigns. QXL's operations in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK will use the DARTmail system and initially the UK operation, QXL.com, will implement the DART for Publishers (DFP) technology.
