The Board of QXL ricardo plc (the "Company") has received notice of a third party claim in respect of the ownership of 92% of its Polish subsidiary, QXL Poland sp z.o.o. The Company is currently investigating this claim and the circumstances surrounding it. As the claim is based on events that are said to have occurred on 30 December 2002 it is not expected that the claim will have any material effect on the trading results for the quarter ending 31 December 2002. The Company expects to announce these results in the first half of February 2003.
