Stagecoach has launched a new website as part of a drive to provide passengers with clearer travel information and easier access to bus services.

The website, www.stagecoachbus.com, has a fresh new look and easier navigation to allow customers to get the information they want quickly.

Stagecoach carried out online customer research as part of a review of its existing website. The survey found 70% of users visited the site to check timetables, while 34% were looking for information on bus routes and 20% wanted details of ticket prices.

The new stagecoachbus.com website – designed and built by consultancy Emperor Design - incorporates an interactive map that users can follow to get information on Stagecoach services in their area.

Passengers can access timetables for all Stagecoach services across the UK online as well as the latest travel information and company news.

Customers can also use the new site to buy Stagecoach’s Unirider student tickets and there are links to the megabus.com and oxfordtube.com e-commerce websites.

Stagecoach Group Project Manager George Connell said: “The new website gives customers the key information they are looking for easily in a clear and accessible format.

“We have also made it simpler for customers to buy tickets via the website for some of our most popular products.”

Stagecoach’s network of marketing managers across the UK will also be able to use regional pages on the site to promote bus offers in their area and emphasise the advantages of using public transport.
