Signs VoIP and termination agreement with Swift Internet
Signs further contract with PNC Telecom Services Limited
Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, is pleased to
announce that it has signed an agreement to provide bundled broadband telephony
services to Swift Internet, a provider of broadband and hosting services to
small and medium sized businesses. Spiritel will also provide Swift Internet
with mobile and fixed line call termination services as part of the agreement.
Swift Internet has an installed base of around 2000 SME business customers but
its customer base also includes British Gas, Interbrew and DEFRA. The broadband
telephony services supplied under this agreement make available to Swift
Internet's customers enterprise telephony applications at an SME price point.
Further to Spiritel's announcement on 10 October 2005 on its agreement with PNC
Telecom Services Limited (PNC TSL), the Company is pleased to announce that PNC
TSL has signed a contract under which Spiritel will exclusively provide VoIP
services to a minimum of 2000 existing personal number customers.
It is expected that the contract value will exceed £1 million over three years.
Alastair Mills, Spiritel's Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted that Swift
Internet has selected Spiritel as its supplier of VoIP services. ISPs are well
placed to exploit the broadband telephony opportunity and we look forward to
providing Swift with extensive VoIP applications and competitive, high quality
voice termination. In addition, I am delighted by the speed at which our initial
agreement with PNC Telecom Services Limited has developed into a substantial
committed contract."

About Spiritel plc
Spiritel (AIM: STP) is the holding company for a growing group of companies
whose focus is telecommunications services and products. Spiritel's initial
trading division, Expo Communications, was founded in 2000 and is one of
Europe's leading call termination businesses focussing on calls from fixed lines
to mobiles. Expo's client base includes Level (3), Colt, One.Tel and Your
Communications among others. Spiritel has also launched VoIP, or broadband
telephony, services through its Spiritel Technologies division, which has signed
reseller agreements with companies including Entacall Communications and
Jabbertalk. These VoIP services, aimed at the SME market, are highly
complementary to Expo's termination services as most phone calls made via VoIP
require termination in the same way as calls from traditional fixed line phones.
Spiritel joined the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in July 2004.
