Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, today 
announces that Non-Executive Director Mark Willard has stepped down from the 
Board with immediate effect. This follows the recent appointment of Anthony Vose 
to the Board with the acquisition of Ashland Group and allows Mr. Willard to 
concentrate on his other business and consulting interests. 
 
 
Mark Willard founded Spiritel in 2001 and was instrumental in its early 
development, including the Company's listing on AIM in July of 2004. He is a 
previous Chief Executive Officer of the Company. 
 
 
Lord St. John of Bletso, Chairman of Spiritel commented: "Mark laid the 
foundation for the development of Spiritel into a leading provider of 
communications services to its wholesale and business customers. I am 
particularly grateful for the role Mark has played in establishing Spiritel's

Spiritel is a consolidator in the highly fragmented UK telecoms reseller market. 
The Group proposes to deliver shareholder value through acquisitions, which 
bring complementary products, and skill sets to the Group's offering and 
organically via the growth of customer relationships and joint ventures.
