COMPLETION OF THE SALE OF FRENCH BUSINESS  
  
Uniq announces that it has today completed the sale of Marie SAS, Uniq's French 
chilled and frozen convenience foods business, to Groupe L.D.C. for a total 
enterprise value of E71.3 million (£60.9 million). This comprises E60 million 
(£51.3 million) for 100% of the equity of Marie, subject to E6 million (£5.1 
million) being held in escrow for 18 months, plus an additional E11.3 million 
(£9.6 million) repayment of intra-group debt as at completion.   
  
Uniq's Q3 interim management statement for the period from 1 July 2009 to 30 
September 2009 will be announced on 15 October 2009.  
  
Note: £/E exchange rate of 1.17 as of 25 June 2009 has been used for translating 
all the values relating to this transaction.
